Scott Nolan is an eighth generation Texan whose roots run deep in the North East Texas area. Scott is the Owner and Broker at Nolan Properties - a boutique real estate brokerage and Partner at Open Door Group, LLC, a property management service in Longview, Texas where they serve clients needs across the real estate spectrum, as well as Nolan Auction Services.  
 
As a broker and realtor, Scott continues to hone his real estate expertise with most recently earning from the Realtors Land Institute National Board of Directors with a certification as an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation which only less than 1% of realtors earn in the nation. Realtors Land Institute credits only those realtors with this designation as the most accomplished, the most experienced, and the highest performing land real estate experts across the country — whether they specialize in agricultural land, timberland, ranch and recreational properties, or vacant land for development. This designation gives Scott a definite edge and deeper ability to master new skills both digitally as well as understand trends in real estate across the United States. In 2023, Scott started Open Door Group, LLC to assist individuals and commercial property owners manage their properties where they provide a full suite of affordable property management services for their clients. Individuals and investors rely on Open Door to manage an extensive portfolio of single-family, multi-family, and commercial real estate in East Texas and surrounding areas. 
 
As owner of his own commercial and industrial coatings company for over 35 years, Scott Nolan Painting Contracting, Incorporated, Scott has an extensive knowledge of the industrial aspect of the East Texas area. Scott is a highly respected contractor who has worked across the greater North East Texas area. 
 
Scott Nolan is also a Licensed Auctioneer in the state of Texas after attending the Missouri Auction School in 2016. Scott has a keen understanding of how to best serve client's individual needs and successfully sell your livestock, products or equipment, or properties, including land, ranch, residential, recreational and commercial at an in-person auction or online.
 
Scott owns both commercial and rental properties giving him a true understanding of how to best serve clients on what does and what does not work for their individual needs and can connect them with contractors as they navigate remodeling or the flipping process. 
 
Personally, Scott owns and operates Nolan Herefords, a registered Hereford ranch. He and his family breed, raise, and have shown their cattle across the United States, which they also market throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and the Arkansas area. Nolan Herefords exhibited Grand Champion Hereford Heifers at the Fort Worth Stock Show, State Fair of Texas, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
 
In his spare time, Scott is an avid hunter and fisherman, which is invaluable when it comes to his knowledge and experience with properties associated with outdoor sports and recreation. Scott’s experience with maintaining his ranch and tree farms gives him an edge on understanding the in’s and outs of owning land used for agricultural purposes and how to find each client the right property.
